Borrowdale and Scafell Pike Wild Camp – Lake District

Overview

Spend two days exploring the quieter Northern Fells on this guided wild camping adventure centred around Blencathra, one of the Lake District's most distinctive mountains.

Carrying everything you need for the weekend, you'll journey across open fells, broad ridges and peaceful mountain landscapes before spending a night under canvas in a carefully chosen wild camp location. Along the way you'll develop practical backpacking, campcraft and mountain skills while discovering a quieter side of the National Park.

Away from the crowds found on many of the Lake District's best-known peaks, the Northern Fells offer a genuine sense of space and remoteness. Using local knowledge and the support of an experienced Mountain Leader, we'll choose routes and camp locations that provide the best combination of scenery, shelter and mountain adventure. This trip is ideal for first-time wild campers as well as experienced walkers looking for a fully guided overnight journey.

Expect rewarding mountain walking, peaceful evenings in the fells, expansive views across the Lake District and the unique satisfaction of carrying everything you need while spending a night immersed in one of England's finest mountain landscapes.
