Liathach, Beinn Eighe and Beinn Alligin: a Torridon wild camping expedition

4 days

Liathach, Beinn Eighe and Beinn Alligin: a Torridon wild camping expedition

Overview

Four days across three of the Northwest Highlands' most serious mountains — Liathach, Beinn Eighe and Beinn Alligin — taking in six Munros, some of the finest ridge walking in the country, and wild camps beneath some of the UK's darkest skies. This is a Scottish hill expedition in its proper form: long days, technical ground, and the kind of terrain that rewards experience.

The expedition

Over four days you'll refine every part of your mountain craft — packing efficiently, navigating complex ground, pacing yourself, eating well, and staying safe in remote terrain. Your guides will support you through it, but this trip is built for hillwalkers who want to be tested. The payoff matches the effort: three of Scotland's great mountains, in the country they're set in, on terms most people never get to walk them.

Who it's for

Experienced hillwalkers ready to push further. You'll need strong fitness, confidence on steep and rocky ground including sustained scrambling with exposure, and the legs for full days of effort while carrying a loaded pack. This isn't a learn-to-walk-uphill trip — it's for people who already know they love this kind of country and want to spend four days deep in it.

What you can expect

  • Six Munros across three of Scotland's finest mountains
  • Sustained ridge scrambling, including the full Liathach traverse
  • Wild camps below Liathach's south face
  • Skills sharpened along the way: route choice, scrambling technique, weight management, weather reading
  • A small group led by Mountain Leaders who know Torridon properly
  • Some of the darkest skies in the UK
