Blencathra & Northern Fells Wild Camp – 2 Days in the Lake District

Overview

Spend two days exploring the spectacular Borrowdale valley on this guided wild camping adventure, surrounded by some of the Lake District’s most dramatic mountain scenery and with outstanding views towards Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain.

Carrying everything you need for the weekend, you'll journey through classic Lakeland landscapes, climb into the high fells and spend a night under canvas in a carefully chosen wild camp location. Along the way you'll develop practical backpacking, campcraft and mountain skills while experiencing the quieter side of the National Park.

Rather than camping on the busy summit of Scafell Pike, we use our local knowledge to choose a more rewarding mountain journey, selecting camp locations that offer better shelter, spectacular scenery and unforgettable views across the Scafell massif, Great Gable and the surrounding fells. With small group sizes and the support of an experienced Mountain Leader, this trip is ideal for first-time wild campers as well as experienced hillwalkers looking for a fully guided Lakeland adventure.

Expect rewarding mountain walking, peaceful evenings in the fells, spectacular sunsets and the unique satisfaction that comes from carrying everything you need and spending a night immersed in one of England’s finest mountain landscapes.
